Holiday-exchange worksheet
Put the order, school calendar, and exchange details side by side. Use this working sheet to identify questions before making holiday commitments.
Start with the current order
Enter only what you can identify in the order and related documents. Use Parent A and Parent B; leave names, case numbers, and private addresses out. The worksheet does not interpret an order, allocate holidays, or change parenting time.
This worksheet has no account or submission step. Refreshing or leaving may clear your work. Print or download a copy if you want to keep it, and use a device you trust. The site’s privacy policy applies.
Items to review
Enter dates to check whether an end precedes a start or entered periods overlap.
These checks compare your entries only. A clean check does not confirm compliance with an order, and an overlap may be intentional under its terms.
Before treating the sheet as a plan
- Check the complete current order, later amendments, and any incorporated schedule.
- Use the calendar for the child’s school; city residence does not identify every child’s school calendar.
- Identify how holiday time interacts with the regular rotation and when that rotation resumes.
- Check transportation, notice, travel, and other conditions in the actual order.
- Flag any disagreement or unclear provision for review before making commitments.
Read the holiday parenting time guide for unclear orders and missed exchanges. The Michigan Courts Parenting Time Guideline provides general planning information; it is not a substitute for your order.
Bring the wording and the question
If an exchange is approaching, explain the date and the specific uncertainty when you contact the firm. Bring the entire order and relevant messages. An online worksheet does not file a request with the court or Friend of the Court.
